We now have some local honey, eggs, and garlic from Healthberry Farm!!!

We had the opportunity to get to know the Dry Fork, WV area a little better. For one we got lost...oops... and took some interesting detours, but then we finally made it to our destination the Healthberry Farm. We got to visit with some friends, make some new friends, listen to a great house concert; we laid out under the stars to watch the Perseid meteor shower, sat by the fire, and then retired into our awesome straw bale cabin. Can it get much better?

We arrived there in the dark and we were super excited to be able to wake up to this the next morning:

We stuck around for the day for a tour of Healthberry Farm organized by West Virginia CRAFT.

"WV CRAFT is a nationally recognized, farmer-led, peer-to-peer learning program that offers young, beginning, and experienced farmers an opportunity to participate in farm tours and roundtable discussions across the state to learn about specific topics and issues, connect with other farmers, and enjoy a delicious potluck meal."

Here is their website for more information- http://wvfoodandfarm.org/wv-beginning-farmer-program/

Such a fun and informative day of learning more about Healthberry's farm routine with their bees, honey, mead, eggs, and garden.

They do special events at Healthberry such as concerts and tours. The straw bale cabin and the farm is a great place to get away to. For more information check out their website at www.healthberryfarm.com
